連詞

并列連詞按其意義和用法，并列連詞可分為接合連詞、轉(zhuǎn)折連詞、選擇連詞和因果連詞。

（1）接合連詞and，not only...but also，both...and，neither...nor，as well as。

He is like his mother not only in appearance but also in character.

他不僅在外貌上而且在性格上像他媽媽。

（2）轉(zhuǎn)折連詞 but，and yet，but yet（可是，然而），while，however，nevertheless（然而），wheras（而）。

She has failed many times，nevertheless，she is confident she will suc?ceed in the end.

她已經(jīng)失敗了很多次，然而她相信她終將成功。

注意：

①although/though（雖然）和but（但是）不能連用。

②not...but...“不是……而是……”

This book isn′t mine but yours.

這本書不是我的而是你的。

（3）選擇連詞 or，either...or，or else，otherwise（要不然），rather than（而不，也不）。or，or else，otherwise 都作“否則”講，or語氣較弱，other?wise最強(qiáng)。

Nuclear science should be developed to benefit the people rather than harm them.

核科技應(yīng)該用來惠及人民，而不是傷害他們。

（4）因果連詞so，for，therefore，hence。

You're in the right，therefore we should support you.

你是對的，因此我們應(yīng)該支持你。

注意：because和so不能連用
