（1）義務(wù)教育階段英語課程的總目標是：通過英語學(xué)習(xí)使學(xué)生形成初步的綜合語言運用能力，促 進心智發(fā)展，提高綜合人文素養(yǎng)。綜合語言運用能力的形成建立在語言技能、語言知識、情感態(tài)度、學(xué)習(xí)策 略和文化意識等方面整體發(fā)展的基礎(chǔ)之上。語言技能和語言知識是綜合語言運用能力的基礎(chǔ)；文化意識有利 于正確地理解語言和得體地使用語言；有效的學(xué)習(xí)策略有利于提高學(xué)習(xí)效率和發(fā)展自主學(xué)習(xí)能力；積極的情 感態(tài)度有利于促進主動學(xué)習(xí)和持續(xù)發(fā)展。過五個方面相輔相成，共同促進學(xué)生綜合語言運用能力的形成與發(fā) 展。

（2）教學(xué)目標

 Knowledge aims：

①Students can master the new words "Singapore， Thailand， UK， Japan”"

②Students can master the sentence structures "Children's Day is on the ... day of...". ③Students can learn the different customs and dates of Children's Day in different countries.

Ability aims：

①Students are able to answer the customs and dates of Children's Day in different countries correctly.

②Students are able to learn to talk about Children's Day with others.

Emotional aims：

①After this lesson students would like to learn more festival customs of different countries.

②Students can be more interested in learning English and sharing their knowledge obtained with others.

（3）導(dǎo)入和新授環(huán)節(jié) 

Step 1 Lead一in ①Play the song "Happy Birthday" for the students and ask the question ：When is your birthday? ②Play the video of celebration of Children's Day， and ask students to think that when Children's Day is in China.

Step 2 Presentation 

（1）Words learning ①Look and guess Write down the new words on the blackboard.Teacher uses the flags and the pictures of people of difficult countries to explain the new words （ Singapore， Thailand， UK， Japan ） and ask students to guess. once they come up with the right answer， rewards will be given. ②Point and say Ask one student to say a new word they just learned， and another student needs to point the picture on the blackboard.

（2）Sentence learning ①Ask students "When is Children's Day in China?" and explain the sentence in Chinese. Help students to answer "In China， Children's day is on the first of June." Those target languages need to be written on the blackboard. ②Instruct students to read the passage and explain the meaning of each sentence in the mean time. ③Then play the tape of the passage and ask students to do "True or False".
